Visto E-2

Treaty Country Investor

The E-2 visa is a temporary visa for investors who wish to open or acquire businesses in the United States. It is intended for citizens of countries that have trade treaties with the U.S., allowing the holder to actively manage the business. This visa promotes economic growth and job creation in the country.

Although Brazilians are not directly eligible, citizens with dual nationality from countries such as Italy or Japan may qualify. It does not automatically lead to a Green Card but can be renewed indefinitely as long as the business remains operational.

Requirements:

The investor must be a citizen of a treaty country.
The investment must be substantial, generally exceeding $100,000.
The business must generate sufficient income to support the investor and their family.
The applicant must have significant control over the business.
